Ben Cheetham is a BAFTA nominated director whose passion and motivation as a filmmaker come from the belief that documentary films can change real life situations. He has recently filmed, produced and directed “Pete, Doherty, Who Killed My Son?” for Channel 4 after he won Channel 4’s First Cut Pitch at Sheffield Doc Fest in 2022. For this film he was awarded Debut Director by the TV Foundation's New Voice Awards and he was also nominated for a BAFTA and two RTS awards. His other credits include the Grierson shortlisted "Imposter: The Man Who Came Back from the Dead" for Channel 4, the BAFTA nominated series “The Dog House” for Channel 4 and the RTS award winning series “Trawlermen” for BBC1; he directed the short film "Inside a Marriage" which was highly commended at the 2020 Grierson Awards and nominated for an RTS award in 2021.
